WMU: Each year, the WMU of NC sponsors a weekend retreat for women from the NC State Prison in Raleigh. Before leaving, each lady is given a tote bag filled with personal and hygiene items and a few goodies. Lawndale's contribution is bar bath soap. A collection box is located on the 1st floor next to the drink/snack machines. Collection will end on Sunday, August 9th. thank you for your support with this project.
Johnny M. Hunt Men's Conference: "Triple Play- The Trilogy of Men's Struggles" will be on Friday, October 2nd and Saturday, October 3rd at Green Street Baptist Church (303 N. Rotary Dr. High Point, NC 27262). Johnny is the pastor of First Baptist Woodstock. His conference will address three areas in which men struggle with and must remain vigilant: money, sex and pride. $59 registration fee includes Friday night steak dinner, snacks, workbooks, cd's of sessions ($49 before September 1st).
