Class News
  • Happy New Year!
  • Thanks Nathan, for an awesome lesson this morning. Thank you for being willing to minister to our class and for never sugar coating anything. What a great lesson for the New Year... May we all enter into 2011 not willing to compromise anything for the Lord!
  • The title of next week's lesson is A Hill on Which to Stand. The background passage for Sunday is 1 Kings 16:29-22:53 (2 Chronicles 17:1-22:4). The lesson passages for next week are 1 Kings 18:20-21, 37-39; 19:1-3, 13-18. Before Sunday, please take a moment to prayerfully read through the passages and prepare for the lesson.
  • Welcome to our guests, Jeremy and Jennifer Barnes. We enjoyed having you with us this morning!
  • Women's Bible Study: We will being meeting Monday, January 24th at Priscilla Martin's house. (Time and Address to come) We will meet every other Monday and we will work through Beth Moore's, 'Breaking Free.' There are 2 versions of this study, as soon as I find out which version the church owns, I will let you know so you can buy your copy!

LifePlus Descipleship Training Spring Semester begins Sunday, January 9, 5:00pm. The following courses will be offered for the spring semester of LifePlus. Unless otherwise noted, all classes will begin on Sunday, January 9, at 5:00pm. Courses may require purchase of books or other resources. Stop by the LifePlus table in the lobby for more information and to register for the class of your choice. Registrations are also available on the church website.

Additional Announcements
Offering Envelopes: The 2011 offering envelopes will be available for pickup in the hall between the elevator and the Worship Center until January 9th. We encourage everyone ot use their numbers even if you don't use the envelopes. Putting your # on your checks helps to ensure accuracy in your year-end contribution statements. Thank you!
Inclement Weather Policy: In case of inclement weather, please check with WFMY (Channel 9), or our website, http://www.lawndalebaptist.org/ for delay or cancellation information regarding Lawndale church services. For Senior Adult luncheons and Weekday Preschool, we will follow Guilford County School closing schedule.
Greeting Card Collections: Bring your old, used Christmas, Birthday, or any occasion cards to the Collection Center on the first floor near the drink machines. They will be used in children's mission projects.
Shepherd's Shelf: The Shepherd's Shelf Food Pantry needs to be restocked. A detailed list of items needed is located at each Welcome Desk and at the Collection Center on the 1st floor. Thank you for helping with this ministry.
