Class News
  • Billy, thank you for teaching the lesson this morning! The title of next week's lesson is Building a Culture of Life. The background passage for Sunday is 2 Kings 21:1-23:30. The lesson passages for next week are 2 Kings 22:11-13; 23:1-3, 10, 24-25. Before Sunday, please take a moment to prayerfully read through the passages and prepare for the lesson.
  • Happy Birthday to Jeremy Hood this Tuesday, January 11th!
  • Happy Anniversary to Greg & Laura this Friday, January 14th!
  • Men's Bible Study: Will begin this Friday, January 14th at 6:30am at Chick-fil-A (in the Brassfield Shopping Center on the corner of Battleground and New Garden). Rodney will be leading the study through Genesis. Please bring your Bible. All men are welcome!
  • Women's Bible Study: We will being meeting Monday, January 24th, 6:30pm, at Priscilla Martin's house (6709 Poplar Grove Trail). We will meet every other Monday and we will work through Beth Moore's, 'Breaking Free.' There are 2 versions of this study, and we will be going through the most recent one... 2009! All women are welcome!

LifePlus Descipleship Training Spring Semester begins Sunday, TODAY. The following courses will be offered for the spring semester of LifePlus. Unless otherwise noted, all classes will begin on Sunday, January 9, at 5:00pm. Courses may require purchase of books or other resources. Stop by the LifePlus table in the lobby for more information and to register for the class of your choice. Registrations are also available on the church website.

Boot Camp Weekend: April 8-10. Open to all 6th-12th grade students. Registration begins online and in the lobby February 6th.

Additional Announcements

Offering Envelopes: The 2011 offering envelopes will be available for pickup in the hall between the elevator and the Worship Center until January 9th. We encourage everyone to use their numbers even if you don't use the envelopes. Putting your # on your checks helps to ensure accuracy in your year-end contribution statements. Thank you!
Inclement Weather Policy: In case of inclement weather, please check with WFMY (Channel 9), or our website, http://www.lawndalebaptist.org/ for delay or cancellation information regarding Lawndale church services. For Senior Adult luncheons and Weekday Preschool, we will follow Guilford County School closing schedule.
Greeting Card Collections: Bring your old, used Christmas, Birthday, or any occasion cards to the Collection Center on the first floor near the drink machines. They will be used in children's mission projects.
Shepherd's Shelf: The Shepherd's Shelf Food Pantry needs to be restocked. A detailed list of items needed is located at each Welcome Desk and at the Collection Center on the 1st floor. Thank you for helping with this ministry.
